I’m trying not to lose my marbles.  I am aware that I have already mislaid some of them … one is stuck under the sofa, one in the Lego box and the 4 year old may have inadvertently swallowed the other

This blog charts my journey through motherhood, the longest journey I’ve ever taken.

We live in West Yorkshire and are a family of four during the week, and five at the weekend.  Along for the ride is;

Me - I’m Laura, I work part-time (school hours) and spend the rest of my time chasing after my children. I forget how old I am all the time so I’ll just say I’m in my early 30’s, the 5 year old tells me I’m 50.

The Husband is a graphic designer.  We’ve been married for 4 years and together for 10. He spends most of his time wishing I was more interested in housework, looked like Andrea Corr and didn’t snore quite so loudly. He loves football, rugby and cricket, his family and cooking which is fortunate as I don’t … the cooking bit that is.

The 6 year old has the memory of an elephant. She loves school, her DS and wants to be a vet when she’s older. She is always surprising me with her kindness and her ability to say embarrassing things really loudly in public.

The 4 year old – He only has two speeds, VERY fast and asleep.  If you can leap off it, roll under it, ride it or break it,  he will.  He snores for England and is always hungry. According to the scan he was supposed to be a girl, so imagine our surprise when he popped out on the husband’s birthday a boy.

The Teenager - Is 15 and beautiful.  She’s currently studying for her GCSE’s and stays with us Friday to Sunday. She likes horses, shopping and make-up. I don’t write about her too often because I respect her privacy but she does crop up from time to time in posts.

Gramps - Is my Scottish Dad. He lived in Spain with my Stepmum until last year when he moved to just round the corner and over the hill.  It’s good to have him back and means we get to see him more.  He’s enjoyed writing his guest posts so much that he now wants his own blog. Watch this space.

P’Nut - Our chocolate brown Labrador.  She’s 8, has a white beard, likes to chew her tail and moults 364 days a year.  She likes to steal cheese and her party piece is puking on the rug in the living room.
