• 31st December 2009 - By Laura - AWNTYM?

I’ve been tagged by Wendy to disclose my best bits of 2009.  It was difficult and to be honest I could have listed about 50.  However, as the laptop seems to be crawling at a snails pace I did what I could …

April – Our family tradition of egg rolling is such a big thing. All the family and some select friends gather to roll eggs at Easter and it is always followed by food and merriment. I never win, but I love taking part … ahem.  Maybe next year when the egg roll is in Scotland …

May – My review trip to Walt Disney World,Florida – I am still in shock that I was lucky enough to go on this incredible trip. One of the best things to come out of that trip is six new friendships with Erica, Lulu, Alice, Becky, Linda and Jane. I still smile when I think of the laughter we shared.

July – Camping at Robin Hoods bay in the Summer was great. The children are now old enough to enjoy camping without it being a chore. The 3 year old was in his element (the outdoors) and we made new friends. Such a relaxed time was had and I can’t wait for more of the same next year. Hopefully heading for Scotland to relive some childhood memories and perhaps take in some of the Edinburgh festival.

August – Wearing Magic Pants and celebrating my 31st birthday with my friends. I have battled 3 or 4 more times in a toilet cubicle with the magic pants since then.

September – Hiding behind that wagon in Port Aventura with friends old (Alice and Erica) and new (Tara and Jo B).

And so I pass the challenge onto 5 other bloggers!

I’ve just written my highlights of 2009 and you are there of course. If any of you could have worn white T shirts on Splash Mountain then you could have come higher. And I would have come sooner. Ho ho.
      Have a wonderful 2010. xx

I want magic pants. I thought I looked really cool in my smock top tonight until someone pointed out that the roll over my jeans waistband made me look pregnant….

Great highlights. I’ve never laughed so much as that week in Florida. Good times. Happy new year, lovely lady xx

So let’s get this straight – you are only 31, you went to Disneyland and to PortAventura this year? I see.

No, I’m not jealous. I. Am. Really. Not.

And now I’m going to go and apply some anti-wrinkle cream and tell myself I am not old, I am really really not. (And Tara Cain is older than me)!

Do they do magic pants for chins? If so, I’m getting some. You, on the other hand, definitely DON’T need them. It was a joy to meet you in Florida, by the time we hid behind that wagon I felt as though we’d been friends a lot longer than 31 years. Looking forward to more trips, er, serious travel journalism, in 2010, love Alice xx

Why is Rosie still going on about my age?
Have taken your tag and totally turned it into something else. And passed it right back to you. Because, well, that’s what I’m like x
