Incidentally, I don’t always burn pizza , and claim the fifth ammendment on the other topic……….

Our Sky plus has some sort of control that means that it randomly picks out programmes it thinks aren’t suitable and asks for the pin. This amuses me no end, because it will ignore some 18-cert films but object to some 15-certs and even the occasional 12-cert.

Have you checked to see if parental controls are on? (Sorry if that’s grandma-sucking-eggs)

yes, you can definitely put parental control on sky plus. I have it, to stop my husband watching porn (or sport) when he should be doing the housework.

My 6 year old just cruises around the house and watches whatever his teenage siblings watch. I dread to think of what he’s seen and heard!

Kangaroos are priceless. I remember a great conversation with the kids explaining what the kangaroos were doing to each other in the zoo. So did the bystanders. (I didn’t lie, which led to follow-up questions etc.)

I’m with Virgin+, so not sure about Sky. Do you have to put a ‘pin’ in for watching recorded (after 9pm) programmes? As I’m sure my 22 yr old watched something last week during the day, that had been recorded after the watershed, that I then complained about about having to put the pin in for. Loudly, as I had forgotten it! 3rd time lucky..phew

Ooops! Yes we have a similar problem too and i now can’t watch my daily dose of Hollyoaks (i know i’m sad but i love it). I sometimes fantasise about living in a field with no TV or any outside influences on my children, then maybe they wouldn’t speak with affected american accents that they’ve picked up from watching too much Hanna Montanna.

As punishment only allow the husband to watch Sky+ episodes of Cbeebies programmes after the watershed for the next week. This should have the required de-programming effect.
